i think it is just awful for such little babies to catch a seroius diesase i think there should be more done about i had a baby puppy he was just six months old he got very sick grant u it wasnt parvo it was a bad infection i think it os called upper gi infection took him to the vet and they had him for 4 days they had told me it could be the gi infection but they never check until it was to latei i think vets should check exrays and blood work first then go from there but some of them, is only woooried about money. espectially the ones who cant afford to pay high vet bills or have a place towhere they can take them for help without having to give them up for adopotation

That is really sad, but true about parvo!! It is a ruthless disease. One of my puppies had it and he didn't make it either( my son's puppy) Do all you can, so these wee ones can live a long and happy life.....

Something is not right about this whole situation. I would really check into what steps the shelter took in getting this puppy ready for adoption or did they send him through a little too quickly before they had allowed enough time for a full medical evaluation to be done. This is something that I would really look into if I was Oprah.

I wish the article would have explained more details...like how old was the puppy? When should it have been vaccinated, & why wasn't it? Was the virus passed on through the mother? I sure hope the other pup makes it!!

I don't think the shelter vaccinated the puppies. That's why they got it.

Parvo is a very nasty virus that you would never want to see your pet suffer from. Please vaccinate and take precautions to keep your puppy safe!
