At 11am he was worse and 1pm he vomited up what looked to be a ham bone .. though he's never had one before? And it did bring some relief to him. His temp is 104.5, and he also has a collapsed trachea area - and for certain an infection. He is on his 3rd bag of fluids, has had 2 antibiotic shots, lasix and prednisone ..chest xray- he will have extensive blood work to help them discern meds to use to help him .. he did have an Enlarged heart, fluid pockets in his intestines and stomach prior to vomiting .. they believe one of the areas they thought was a pocket of fluid was that bone he vomited - he was much better at 1p when I saw him then at 11a .. I was up with him all night long at home Friday .. keeping fans on him, humidifier, moving him every 2hrs .. giving him oral meds of antibiotics, lasix, and prednisone so glad I started all that during the night .. it may make the difference in his outcome. The Vet was greatly relieved that his condition improved after he vomited .. said he was still in the woods, but not as critical. I am heart sick as you can imagine. Rex is out of town but will be home tomorrow. Love Ya, Diane - UPDATE: Franklin vomited up a foreign object and had sudden relief with breathing around 1p Saturday .. his temp was still high and he was not out of the woods, but better then he was at 8am.He will remain in ICU until his blood work is back and the right medications to help him can be started....... 10/7- Franklin Update: The Kennel Tech called us this evening after finding my note .. while talking she offered to take his Temperature and call me back. She called back and his Temp is 101- which is in the normal range for a dog .. she had just taken him out for a walk and bathroom break and he did well .. she said he was still panting but she believes he doesn't like being there in the crate .. he does have a box fan blowing on him to prevent him from getting overheated. She said he looked really good to her .. very sweet boy! I will be at the Vet's ofc in the morning at 8am waiting on his Vet to get there and see what the plans are and share that with you all also. It was fate for me too, I saw my mom every day, but she didn't know I had already picked her for my master. She came to where I lived everyday to visit the people I lived with. Then one day, she took me for a ride to the store with her...just one ride. When we got back and she tried to drop me off I would NOT let her leave me. I was really litte too, but I ran to the gate and bawled like a big baby, screaming at her to come back as she tried to drive away! BOL! Thanks for sending me the friend request! LilyPup the Taco Terrier Hi Lana....Oh I am so sorry about Roscoe. You do have to console yourself by remembering that you gave him a good & safe home with love that many others don't get. I know when Moma lost Rico she was just devastated but time will help ease that pain and I know having you and Gracie Mae makes your Moma feel loved. Yes things have changed a lot on this site and frankly not many of us like it. There were huge problems when they first did it and so far they have fixed many of those problems but in the process many of our friends left. We do have a page on FaceBook that if you are on there I can have the lady there send you an invite. You can connect w/many friends you may have lost here or just join to see what is going on.
