With spring in the air, it’s important to be aware of plants that are toxic to dogs. Here are some to watch out for ….
Daffodil
Foxglove
Gladiolus
Hyacinth
Hydrangea
Iris
Ivy
Lily of the valley
Mistletoe
Morning glory
Philodendron
Rhododendron
Azalea
Tulip
Japanese yew
*this list is not complete
Many of these plants/flowers can be fatal if ingested so it isn’t recommended that these plants be in your backyard or in an area where your dog may come into contact with it while you are not there to supervise.
Happy Friday!! Happy April Fool’s Day! We have rain once again here in New Jersey. Mommy has a lot of work cut out for her- she never knew that rhododendron was fatal if ingested and the previous owners of the house planted one in the backyard. Mommy will be ripping that out now that she knows!! This week’s theme is “dog tips”. Stop back tomorrow for a new one!
