I loved you for those eyes that could reach into the soul, and understand what they saw. We walked the woods together when I felt the need to speak with our Creator. You loved to swim whether lake, gulf or ocean. Store owners let you come in, even it had a sign that said "No Dogs", your behavior was respectful and your beauty actually brought in more customers. I think you were an old soul that could bring solace that a dog could but not a human. I miss you and love you and still cry every day you are not with me. Until my time comes to cross that Rainbow Bridge, you'll always have a piece of my heart with you. Linda

Dear friends of Lucas, Luke was seen by his vet the last week of June. On July 4th, he started crying when I left the room. I called his vet and he said bring him to his ER immediately. He had no problems the week before. A friend drove us to the ER. Before we got there, I was holding him when he had two seizures. Before getting to the ER, he had one more and died in my arms. His vet said it was a CVA, the silent killer. Lucas will be missed by his cat, Smokey, and all his dog and human friends. He visited the elderly in the nursing homes (he was so gentle with them) He went to visit students of several elementary schools. All will miss his gentle, loving looks and his soft fur. He would go into a classroom and be mobbed by kids, yet he thrived on their attention. He always seemed to pick out the troubled or autistic child. They came alive and talked to him, while he listened, head on their lap and their arms around his neck. He will be missed by his cat, Smokey),and all his friends, dogs and human. He was training his protege, six month old Princess Skye Raven. He was teaching her what it means to be a Siberian Husky, Such as kindness, never to potty in the house, do not jump on people but extending a paw to shake was acceptable. Listen to people, because even if their words was foreign, their gestures, smell and face would help her to understand speach. My dearest Lucas, not a day goes by that I don't cry because I miss you so much. You have been my closest friend and travelling companion for twelve years. I miss the touch of your fur
