How We Met?
Sadie is not my dog I am a volenteer on purrsnpups animal rescue team.PLEASE HELP! Sadie needs cataract surgery to prevent her from going blind. Sadie, a 3 month old pointer hound mix, was taken from her home in Georgia because her family was abusing and starving her, and was eventually removed by Georgia animal control to a shelter. The shelter staff decided to euthanize Sadie because she was thought to be too ugly to be adopted, but a wonderful volunteer saved Sadie and brought her to New Jersey. Sadie came to PURRS N Pups where she lived with a foster family for three weeks. On her first night she needed to be wrapped in a blanket and rocked for 2 hours before she stopped whining and shaking. After three weeks Sadie grew to trust people and gained 11 pounds from her starting weight of 10 pounds! She received medical care and was treated for Giardia, a parasite found in stagnant drinking water, which Sadie picked up while in Georgia. Finally, Sadie was adopted to a wonderful home and a loving family. Now she has been diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes, probably as a result of her malnourishment. The cataracts will surely lead to blindness if left untreated. Her adoptive family can not afford the $3,000 eye surgery and we are appealing for your help to fund a sight-saving operation. Please do not let Sadie's courageous story end in darkness. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
