Pups Prefer Pumpkin Pie! By Helen Fazio, Travel Dog Blogger, Pumpkin is very good for dogs, and dogs usually want a piece of pie. Make Fido his own dog-friendly pie and he'll never come begging for yours. Whip together: 1 can pumpkin (not pie mix), 3 eggs, 1/2 cup of skim milk (or unsweetened soy milk), 1/2 cup of brown sugar (it is a holiday!), 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, Pour into a wholewheat pie shell and bake at a preheated 375 degrees F for 60 minutes or until a knife comes out clean. Your dog's pumpkin pie will be rich and not too sweet!

Oreo & Hopes favorite treat

LIVER BROWNIES 1 PD beef or chicken liver ½ cup corn meal ½ cup flower 1 tbl garlic salt 1 tsp garlic powder Chop meat into tiny pieces. Blend all ingredients in electric blender. Spread mixture in a sheet cake pan (I spray with Pam first) and bake at 400 for about 20 mins or until top looks a milky white color. (Hint) I usually boil my liver to tenderize it for a few minutes before blending it with the other ingredients. After it cools cut into squares or use a dog bone cookie cutter. These treats freeze very well and can be taken out and eaten cold or room temp. I usually freeze half and give the other half over several days. Best kept in the Refrigerator after they cool, as liver can go bad quickly.
