If you haven't heard, I am running for DOTM in June! I am so excited but VERY NERVOUS! I was hoping to run unopposed so I would at least have some chance of winning! BOL!! In a one dog race, I would come in second! BOL! All I can do is my best. I try to be a good friend and do the right thing no matter what. I will cast a vote for Durango every day just like I will vote for myself. I hope I win, but if Durango emerges victorious, then it is not meant to be and I will offer my sincere congratulations to him! I am asking my friends to support me and help me in my quest for the honor of being DOTM for June. If they help by posting to "Vote Chewie DOTM in June" on the profile page, that is WONDERFUL and I will be forever grateful. If they help by adding it to their blogs, again I thank them, and if they vote for me I want each of them to know I appreciate each and every vote given! Except for DOTD shortly after we joined DC, I have never won any contest I have entered. I truly am appreciative of all the friends I have made and the new ones I am meeting on an almost daily basis on DC! If I don't win, at least I will come away with some new friends, I hope! Today Mom and Dad were gone most of the day so me and Maya just rested up. I have no idea what she did cause I was asleep! She says she was sleeping, too so I guess she doesn't know what I did either! BOL! The cats refuse to tell us if the other one is fibbing...Lucky says it could be good blackmail material in the future if necessary! The birds just say "good girl" and "pretty Ty Birdie" and then laugh so I am just a little worried we may have done a little sleep waliking, or worse, sleep TALKING and that is what the intend to use as leverage sometime! This weekend we are gonna chill with Mom and dad as far as I know! Tomorrow we are having eggs and turkey sausage for breakfast and we are gonn get to check out the swimming pool! We have a hard plastic kiddie pool that mom and dad are gonna see if we like to get in. I am also gonna chase bubbles while Mommy blows them for me! We are gonna pick snap peas for supper and BBQ Country Style Pork Ribs! Its gonna be nice to get lots of attention all day long and just hang with Mom and Dad. Sorry I don't have anything to tell you about todays events but sleeping is kinda boring to write about, and since that's all the 2 of us did I'd have to wake you up to say goddbye!! BOL! Chewie decided to "run like the wind" a little too much and when he ignored both Mom and Dad when they called him he lost blogging priviledges for tonight! hehe so ya got me, instead! My Mommy FINALLY sat down in her recliner and put her feet up! Marathon Shopping Day is draining! Chewie and I have to help them when they get home or it would do them in, trust me! I have been trying to help Chewie get ready for his dotm run in June, kinda like a campaign manager.I think we got it under control now! I sure hope so. I got the typist lined up (that would be Mommy) and the speech/blog writer (also Mommy). I hired him a personal assistant (Mommy again)and a secretary (You guessed it, Mommy) to handle all inquiries and messages. I have a lot of responsibility here getting these positions filled with the right people and overseeing each and every position in this organization. THAT should be a lot easier since they are all the same person! BOL! Easier for ME but not for HER!! That's okay, I run a tight ship but I am fair and understanding and I will remind her of just HOW UNDERSTANDING and generous a boss I was when we are back in the Mommy/Baby Girl roles and away from the Campaign Manager/"Lots O' Hats" ones. It could come in handy in the future. I'll be pretty lax about starting time as long as it is soon after breakfast, she will be allowed all the coffee she wants, at the computer (the caffeine will be helpful here). She will get a generous lunch break, as long as she shares with me and as long as things are on schedule, supper breaks are negotiable! She will be allowed to sleep at night, as well. The position only runs for the duration of the campaign so she can do the piddly human things after the campaign. I of course, will be there, accessible 24/7 if she needs anything. I will be playing with toys, eating or taking a power nap while she is there with her nose to the grindstone.I will be moral support and she can wake me up or interupt my play or snack if she has any problems! hehehe Well, I've barked long enough for now so I'll let you go for now.
