Hi! Keshia here with a vote. It is a long weedend for us, because of the Queen's Birthday. The long weekend is just in time for us to plant our gardens/flowers.
Mom posted a new picture - when Mom is in the garden she used to like to sit on an old bathroom mat but I would lay claim to it as soon as Mom was not looking, then I would not move. Well Mom took the mat out of the shed and put it on the chair (thinking that I would not claim the mat) but I just jumped onto the chair. Mom was surprised that I did that but its my mat not hers.

Yep, mom knows where that Char Hut is. She used to work at a vets in Sunrise right down the street. Char burgers are my daddy's second favorite burger. The first is Jack's Old Fashioned Hamburgers. Therevaren't too many around anymore. She only knows of two, one in sunrise and one in Tamarac. She remembers when Ubiversity drive was a two lane road too. It is such a small world huh? Where did you live in Tennessee? Mom and dad want to move there as soon as possible. They want to live in the Dunlap, Chattanooga area.
We live real close to Delray beach, only a few minutes, we sometimes go there and shop. Hope you are enjoying you evening. Pawed a vote, Labby licks and cuddles, Sugar.

No grill at the doggy park???
What kind of government do you all have down there?? That's almost criminal. Well Grandy came home Mother's Day but is still coughing so at her doctors appt on Monday Moma is going and asking some questions. I mean 2 hospital stays, all those meds and doctors and treatments and she is not all well. Now whatever jungle fever she has contracted she has managed to pass to Moma as she has bronchitis and pneumonia. Moma got meds yesterday and does seem to be a little better today. But her left ribs are aching as she has coughed and sneezed so much she questions she has strained something. Are we having fun yet? Anyway Bonnie has 1 more radiation treatment and so far pretty good. She is tired and sore but it could be worse. So how are things down in Aripeka??? We saw Spotty's page and his cute photo. I think his owner needs a Dog Channel course though....hahahaha he'll get the hang of it...hugs LilyPup and Moma

Thank you very much for the birthday wishes for mom. She had a nice birthday, dad took her out to dinner to her favorite restaurant. She said it was good. Didn't bring us any thing back. Thank you again.

Nope, never been to Johnathan Dickens State Park. Mom doesn't take me to too many parks because I am a little rambunctious and hard to control when I get over excited. Maybe next time you are coming to visit your relatives you could let mom know and maybe we could meet up somewhere. Where in Hollywood did your mom grow up? My mom grew up in Ft. Lauderdale but had a few friends in Hollywood. We also used to live in Okeechobee which is right by Ft. Pierce. Small world hugh?
PHEEWWW! It sure has been a long time since I barked. Unfortunately we are going to have to C/P to catch up. Well mom's trip to North Carolina went well but I sure did miss everyone. She was thrown for a loop when she heard my food was one that was recalled. She couldn't check the bag because it was in FL and she was in NC! The worst part was I had already eaten 95% of the bag! She called the vet where I was staying and that opened a whole new can of worms. All in all it worked out. I did have a bag of food that was recalled but they said at the pet store there was salmonella in the factory not in the food, it was a voluntary recall just in case to protect all us critters. None of the food tested so far has shown any signs of contamination. Mom is real happy with Diamond pet food for making that decision.
I am glad to be home now and laying on the guilt trip pretty thick! BOL I am being quite picky with my food, and moping around, something I do every time mom leaves me and makes me board somewhere else. I end up getting all sorts of treats on my food and lots of extra attention. Mom knows what I am doing but she is nice enough to play along.
It has been pretty warm and muggy here with rain too! I have been getting my walks again so I am happy. Last night was real short because of bad weather. I see a palm frond getting ready to fall and mom said this time she is going to be prepared before she even let's me out. I probably won't even act funny like when she is not prepared. I guess I am just a little stinker.
Hopefully we can get back to a normal routine again and be able to bark with our friends regularly. Hope you enjoy your day. Pawed a vote! Love, Sugar

HI Buddy
Absolutely, Havanese rule! Man what a beautiful weekend we had here. Fantastic sunny weather with temps in the low 70's and no rain! It was absolutely fantastic. I spent all my time outside supervising mom and dad on the yard work they had to do! Someone has to keep those two in line and working so it might as well be me! Not to mention that supervising allows for a lot of nap time in the sun too!
A couple months ago we had a storm and it blew down a big tree at the back of our property so mom and dad finally got to start the big clean up. It's a really big tree so this might be an entire summer project! They managed to get the area cleaned up of brush and loose branches. Then they started cutting the branches and there are lots of them! did I tell you it was a really big tree! So Mom was doing the mowing of the underbrush and she came out into the back 40 area, did a turn and saw this thing in the grass, it turned out to be a snake, a dead one, cut up by the lawn mower! So mom inadvertently killed a snake! She said she never even saw it back there until it came out of the mowers deck! Ewwwwww
Then when it got to hot outside they moved to the pool and got it all opened up and the chemicals added. So it looks like it won't be long until me and my boggey board are back at it in the pool. I can't wait!!!! The water right now is really cold but the temps here are supposed to be in the upper 70's and low 80's this whole week so warmer water is just around the corner.
Mom even managed to plant tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and lots of lettuce and spinach in the garden and she repotted some indoor plants too! She was like a busy bee all weekend long! I was very impressed! Of course I was just as busy supervising her in everything she was doing!
We even got to sample some of her new cooking ideas, she made some chicken and tomato dish that was fantastic and then some cajun hamburgers that were out of this world. Must be all this lovely spring air effecting her brain! I'm not complaining I love being the official taste tester of all these new dishes. It's Shrimp Fettucini tonight! Yummmmmmm
