How We Met?
I sought out my girl on the internet. I had had a Whippet several years before, who was the sweetest and gentlest dog I'd ever seen, and I fell in love with the breed. A few years after Annie died, I decided I wanted another Whippet, so I started searching.
I found Athena on a website for a breeder in Kentucky. She was the last of her litter, and they were having trouble placing her because of a minor conformation defect (the eyeliner around her left eye was incomplete). Since I was only looking for a companion, this didn't matter one bit to me!
Athena and I bonded on the very first day and we have been inseparable ever since! (Oh, and her eyeliner eventually filled in, too.)
