Even regular dogs have fears. Here's how to help.

Doberman Pinscher Chance is 75 pounds of gentle spirit and brave heart, except when it comes to thunderstorms, fireworks, and even the sound of rain on the roof. 

 "Sometimes on a rainy night, I'll have a big Dobe on my chest, crying and shaking," says Chance's owner, Sue Gibbs of Arizona. She tries to comfort Chance with affection, or by playing music over the sound of the storm. Despite Gibbs' efforts, Chance remains a bundle of nerves when confronted with loud noises.

Many otherwise normal dogs have one odd fear or another.
