English Shepherd

A Farmer’s Best-Kept Secret

“English Shepherds are very intelligent, easy to train, and they’re an all-around working dog,” she says. “They’re called the ‘farmer’s best secret’ because farmers wanted a dog that would play with and watch the children, guard the property, hunt vermin, work the livestock, and have a good on-and-off switch, but be the perfect companion. And they are.”
