Nobody has to tell Buzzy and Kali the time of day. As soon as Valerie Luchsinger heads upstairs to put her children to bed, the two champion Rat Terriers start watching and listening. When all is quiet, they trot upstairs to join Luchsinger and her husband. “You can count on it. They’re here within the minute,” says Luchsinger, a Rat Terrier breeder in Ohio. “They’re very intelligent, and they pay attention to daily routines.”
