The natural-looking Border Terrier is a much-adored and easygoing friend.
Like a scruffy little bundle of love, Tristan lay on his back in Jean Clark’s arms. As the crowds at the dog show milled around them, the Border Terrier breeder and founding member of the Northeast Border Terrier Club stroked and cradled her sweet little pet … until a woman with a full-length fur coat walked by.
“He flipped over and was halfway out of my arms in a flash,” Clark says. “He wanted to get that great big critter walking by!” Luckily, Clark arrested her over-eager Border Terrier before he could launch into full vermin-chasing mode.
