Actress Says Dog Suffered Anxiety Attacks

Jennifer Love Hewitt says she sought treatment for her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt, who stars on CBS’s “Ghost Whisperer” as an antiques dealer who helps troubled spirits cross over to the other side, reports that her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Charli, suffers from anxiety attacks, according to the celebrity news website TMZ.com.

The actress says Charli suffered from attacks that would cause the dog to intensely lick the air. Concerned, Hewitt brought the dog to a veterinarian, who diagnosed the condition.

“She’s got an anxiety disorder,” says the actress, who also starred in “Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties.” “They put her Prozac, and now she’s as happy as can be.”

Hewitt stars next on the big screen in “Shortcut to Happiness” with Anthony Hopkins.
