Looks like actor Jeremy Piven got his wish. The Emmy-winning actor and star of HBO’s “Entourage” has a brand-new puppy.
According to celebrity news website TMZ.com, Piven bought the 2-month-old English Bulldog in Malibu, Calif., last week.
Paparazzi snapped photos of the newly acquainted pair, and it appeared to be love at first sight. Piven can be seen looking down at the puppy snuggled in his arms, while the puppy returns his adoring gaze.
Piven has long talked about his desire to get a dog. He mused last year to British journalist Chrissy Iley, “Maybe I need a dog, and then a girlfriend, or maybe both. A cute English Bulldog or a [Rhodesian] Ridgeback.”
When Iley asked if Piven, who first gained fame in a supporting role on Ellen DeGeneres’ long-running TV show, “Ellen,” wanted to get a dog to attract women, the actor replied, “Oh, don’t make me sound desperate!”
No word yet on the puppy’s name.
