Two-Legged Dog Makes Her Rounds

Faith, who Oprah Winfrey called a "miracle,” visits injured soldiers.

Faith, the two-legged dog who Oprah Winfrey called a “miracle,” is putting her fame to good use as an honorary U.S. Army Sergeant who visits injured soldiers in military hospitals across the country.

“Her mission is to entertain and make people happy,” owner Jude Stringfellow told Examiner.com.

Stringfellow adopted the mixed breed, who was born without front legs, five years ago, and was shocked when the dog started balancing herself on her hind legs. “Next thing you know, she was standing and walking,” Stringfellow says. “My vet said he had never seen anything like it.”

Stringfellow has written two books about Faith – “Faith Alone: Stories of an Amazing Dog” and “With a Little Faith,” but would like to see a movie made about the inspirational animal.

“You know, a Hallmark movie, where her memory and life can be preserved for others to remember,” Stringfellow says. “She is a treasure that will only be around for a few more years. And there is no other dog that can play this role. I really want to see her legacy preserved.”
