"Grab Life by the Leash"Taking home a new dog is an exciting event. But once the novelty wears off, there are many things need to be done to maintain your dog’s well-being and to strengthen your relationship. “Grab Life by the Leash: A Guide to Bringing Up and Bonding with Your Four-Legged Friend” by Cheryl. S. Smith is a comprehensive book containing everything you need to know about your pal, from clipping nails to incorporating him into your human family.

Every owner should be informed about the basics of dog owning: training, veterinary care, essential supplies. But there are important practices that are often overlooked such as adequate exercise and attention. The book incorporates general information for dog owners with specific tips on how to form a deeper bond with your canine. From physical well-being – training, healthcare, and grooming – to emotional health – bonding activities and interpreting your dogs’ behavior. Specific advice on topics like matching a dog to your lifestyle or how to get your dog involved in search-and-rescue is also included.

If you’re looking for a go-to manual for owning a dog, this book offers all you need to know to benefit the lives of both you and your dog.

“Grab Life by the Leash: A Guide to Bringing Up and Bonding with Your Four-Legged Friend” by Cheryl S. Smith is on sale now.
