Dogs Stolen, Says Former ‘Smallville’ Actor

John Schneider had planned to give the puppies to his kids for Christmas.

Former “Smallville” and “Dukes of Hazard” star John Schneider says two puppies he was planning to give his children for Christmas were stolen, along with his car, from a Los Angeles mall parking lot.

The puppies, Paisley, a Yorkshire Terrier-Poodle mix, and Marley, a Yorkshire Terrier, were in the actor’s Cadillac Escalade when it was stolen from a parking lot at the Sherman Oaks Fashion Square mall before Christmas, The Insider reports.

The vehicle has since been recovered, but the dogs were not found. The actor made a public appeal for the puppies’ safe return during a recent call-in to radio DJ Valentine of Los Angeles’s KIIS FM.

“I understand what’s going on in the economy, and I understand that ... nobody stole the car because the dogs were in it,” Schneider said. “If you have been given the gift of two little puppies or even one of our puppies – either Paisley or Marley [Paisley is the little Yorkshire Terrier, Marley is the apricot-colored mix] – if you’ve been given the gift out of nowhere ... Those puppies really belong to [my children],” he said.

“I’d very much like for you to consider doing the right thing and getting in touch with Valentine, getting in touch with the shelter, and getting those puppies back in the Christmas home that they belong in.”

i'm really sorry for his kids and hope the puppy's are safe somewhere,BUT and here it comes, everybody knows, not to let their pets or kids alone in the car.if you can't take them with you, leave them at home or with someone, who can watch them.

I hope the puppies get found. Being in the car at that time may be that he got them from the mall or he stopped to buy things for the puppies to take home, knowing their size and what they'd need. Beds, food, toys etc. It sounds like they went after the car. Now what did these heartless idiots do with the puppies? Throw them out or give them to someone? I have taken mine in the car too, they love to go for a ride. No hot days though.
We traveled all over the country with our pups.
This is as bad as when they stole a car with a baby inside it.
