Jennifer Aniston Eats Dog Treats on TV

‘They’re a little dry,’ the actress says, after winning a bet.

Jennifer Aniston will do almost anything for her art — including chomping on a dog biscuit to promote “Marley & Me.”

The actress ate a dog biscuit during an appearance on the popular German variety show “Wetten, dass…?” to promote the European release of “Marley & Me,” which costars Owen Wilson.

The show asks celebrity guests to bet whether a special visitor can perform a particular talent. On Aniston and Wilson’s episode, a German woman claimed she could identify her team of Siberian Huskies by the sound of them lapping up soup.

Aniston bet that she could, Wilson bet that she couldn’t.

The show’s host, Thomas Gottschalk, said the loser would have to eat a few dog biscuits.

“I wish I had known the stakes first,” Wilson said.

When the blindfolded dog owner guessed right, Gottschalk asked both Wilson and Aniston to eat a biscuit. Aniston protested, “But I guessed right!”

The host told her, “You’re a team, just like the dogs,” which prompted Wilson to put his arm around Aniston’s shoulder and say, “Honey, we’re in this together.”

Gottschalk gave each of the actors a biscuit and said, “I’ll eat one, I’m the host. And Owen, you have to eat one. Jennifer, you can eat it if you want, but I’d really like to be able to tell my grandkids that I ate dog biscuits with Jennifer Aniston.”

Aniston chomped on one and smiled. “They’re a little dry,” she laughed.

Sounds a little nuts to me. I like the dog's owner who knows her dogs so well.
