Jessica Simpson Devastated Over Missing Dog

Friends fret about the star’s state after losing her dog in coyote attack last week.

Jessica Simpson’s friends are speaking out about the star’s troubled state since losing her dog Daisy in a coyote attack in Los Angeles last week.

“Daisy was her baby,” a friend told People. “It’s going to put her into a tailspin. It will put her into the worst place ever.”

Daisy, a Maltese-Poodle mix was taken a week ago Monday night by a coyote right in front of Simpson’s eyes. Simpson quickly offered a reward for information about the dog and hired a dog-finding service, but there’s been no sign of the 5-year-old caramel-colored pooch.

“Whenever things went wrong for Jessica, she reached for Daisy,” another friend said. “Daisy was her security blanket. When people let her down, she always had Daisy.”

Daisy was known for being spoiled, even by Hollywood standards. Simpson fed the pooch steak, not dog food, and threw her birthday parties.

“Jessica has a very small inner circle,” the friend said. “But she always had Daisy. Daisy gave her unconditional love. Jessica’s heart is broken.”

My heart goes out to Jess. My friends in Ohio has coyotes around their property and warn me to keep my dog on a leash anytime it is outside. Was Jessica aware of her surroundings? Can't help but wonder.

Sorry for her loss. I had a cat break out a screen and get eaten by a fisher here in Maine. I found her bloody collar. I was deeply upset too. Sorry about this horrible thing!
