As part of a national effort, three pet food banks are holding the first ever Pet Pantry Partners’ “Furr-ever Home” National Pet Food Drive, starting Nov. 21 and ending Jan. 1. The three organizations are Northland Pet Pantry in Missouri, Central Florida Pantry in Orlando and Pikes Peak Pet Pantry in Colorado.
The goal of the food drive is to bring national awareness to the importance of pet food assistance during rough economic times when some families decide they can no longer feed and house their pets. The organizations’ goal is to gather 5,000 pounds of dog food and cat food (or food for other species) each from donors, or a combined 15,000 pounds.
