Vets, Eye Doctor Team to Save Dogs' Sight
Two Labrador Retriever puppies born blind are ready to play fetch, thanks to a unique collaboration between two local veterinarians and an eye surgeon. Littermates Lilly and Murphy were born three months ago with opaque cataracts that left them functionally blind, said Sycamore Township veterinarian Sheri Kyle. Michael Snyder, a cataract specialist with Cincinnati Eye Institute in Blue Ash volunteered to do the surgery that restored the puppies' sight, reports Cincinnati.com
