Westminster Dog Show Cookies
Sugar cookies cut out in dog shapes, bones, paw prints, and ribbons are the perfect sweet treat for a Westminster party. For the ribbons, use purple and gold icing to make best-in-show ribbons to match the theme. Recipe courtesy of McCall’s cookbook.

½ cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
¼ tsp vanilla
Milk
Food coloring
Beat butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar, adding milk a tablespoon at a time until desired consistency. Some like it thick, others thin, the choice is yours! Divide frosting into bowls and mix in food coloring of your choice.
PupCakes
Follow the instructions for your favorite cake batter and icing recipes (a box mix works too - we won't tell!) To add a Westminster twist use purple and gold cupcake liners or add food coloring to make the batter or frosting purple and gold. Using icing or sprinkles decorate your cupcakes with your favorite dog-themed designs.
Bone-shaped Finger Sandwiches
These delicious sandwiches are easy to serve on platters and go with the theme of the evening. The recipe can be changed to suit you and your guest’s taste buds.
Take white or wheat bread and using a bone shaped cookie cutter, cut out sandwiches.
