For each "Annie the Musical" ticket sold from now through December 31, 2013, Pedigree will make a donation to Pedigree Foundation in honor of Sandy and all dogs who need loving homes, up to $1,000,000.
In the upcoming production, Sandy, the loyal companion of the show’s namesake, will be played by Sunny, a dog discovered and rescued from a shelter in Houston. Her understudy, Casey, also a shelter dog, was discovered and rescued from a Pedigree Brand-sponsored shelter near Nashville.
Since its Broadway debut in 1977, "Annie" has starred real-life shelter dogs as "Annie's" adopted and loyal companion, Sandy. With the show set to take the stage this fall, Sandy will be exclusively provided nutrition by Pedigree so that she has what she needs and is at her best while she trains for the performance and throughout the duration of the musical.
If you aren’t able to make it to the show, there are still other opportunities to help a dog in need.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from all limited-edition Annie The Musical Pedigree merchandise will benefit Pedigree Foundation. The co-branded Pedigree and Annie gear will be available online beginning October 2012 at "Annie the Musical" and Pedigree.
You can also make a donation to PEDIGREE Foundation to help a dog in need today.
