Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine has launched a new online video resource for pet owners.
Partners in Animal Health aims to help empower dog owners to make informed decisions about their pet’s medical care and to take a more preventative approach in maintaining their pet’s health.
“Pet owners come to Cornell for reassurance and want to know what we as a college recommend,” says Jodi Korich, DVM, the program’s founding director. “This is our opportunity to teach owners about pet health.”
For example, a Pet Owner’s Guide to Cancer gives an overview of cancer, including how pets get cancer, strategies for early detection, diagnosis and treatment.
Partners in Animal Health is an evolving project. Dr. Korich says that the university is working to post other dog-related health topics in the near future.
