Gingerbread Homes for Animals

What: Rational Animal, a New York animal welfare group, hosts this holiday exhibition and fair in support of New Yorks at-risk animals. The event features edible gingerbread houses and creations made by gourmet pastry chefs, which are raffled off to lucky winners. Other activities (for all ages) include, animal-inspired crafts, pet adoption, cookie decorating, origami folding, and pet rock painting.

Get your dogs photo taken with Santa!
When: Saturday, Dec. 3, 1 to 3 p.m.
Where:
Wiskers Pet Bistro and Bowteek
4818 E. 2nd St.
Belmont Shore, CA
What: Get photos taken of your children and pets with Santa for a donation of $20 and unused pet supplies. Donations benefit Operation Santa Paws, a nonprofit group that donates food, grooming products, toys, and treats to abandoned pets in Southern California animal shelters.
