A Manhattan dog walker who admits he stole nearly $58,000 from an 84-year-old woman has been sentences to one to three years in prison. The dog walker admitted that while operating the Luna Dog Service he stole $51,278 from the woman’s bank account and another $6,686 by using her credit cards, Newsday reports.

Dog Thief Could Get Five Years
A Plainfield, Ill., man who stole a $1,500 Pomeranian puppy by stuffing the 2-pound dog under his sweatshirt faces a possible five-year prison term after pleading guilty to the theft Tuesday. He had stolen the puppy with the intention of selling it for $60 to two young women, who were charged with misdemeanor theft, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
