Tallahassee to Build Animal Crematorium
The final days of animals abandoned in Leon County aren't pretty. Recognizing that the procedure for dealing with euthanized animals is inhumane, environmentally unfriendly and inefficient, city commissioners approved spending about $150,000 for the construction of a pet crematorium at the animal shelter, the Tallahassee Democrat (Florida) reports.
