Drew Barrymore to Voice Spoiled Dog

Hollywood actors will provide the voices for talking animals in a new Disney film about a spoiled dog.

A pack of Hollywood stars has been cast in “South of the Border,” a new film that chronicles the misadventures of a Beverly Hills Chihuahua named Chloe who gets lost while on vacation in Mexico.

Drew Barrymore will voice the pampered Chloe. Other famous actors lending their voices to the talking animals who help Chloe in her quest to return home include Andy Garcia, Salma Hayek, George Lopez, “Cheech” Marin, Paul Rodriguez, Placido Domingo, and Edward James Olmos.

Garcia plays a German Shepherd Dog who is unhappy since losing his sense of smell – and his job as a police dog. Hayek’s character befriends Chloe, who feels more at home traveling in expensive handbags than on dirt roads, and helps her connect with her heritage. Lopez plays Papi, a macho but romantic Chihuahua who falls head over heels for Chloe.

Piper Perabo, who starred in “Cheaper by the Dozen,” plays Chloe’s frantic owner.

The film will be directed by Raja Gosnell, who directed Barrymore’s popular 1999 comedy, “Never Been Kissed.”

No release date has been set.

I think it will just be another idiotic dog movie. Iv'e seen a lot of dog movis and didn'nt like them. I guess its because i take dogs siriously and dont like to see them moked.
