The American Kennel Club Canine Health Foundation recently awarded Imulan BioTherapeutics LLC a grant to study the effects of Imulan’s immunomodulating T-Cell Receptor Vaccine for canine dilated cardiomyopathy – canine heart disease.
“The implications and promise of this unique therapy are exciting and ground-breaking,” says A. Duane Butherus, Ph.D., chair of the Canine Health Foundation Grants Committee. “Cardiac disease regularly ranks in the top five diseases that are of major concern to breeders and dog enthusiasts and this search for a treatment of the complications of cardiomyopathy is an important step toward helping the next dog affected with this disease.”
