Carpet One Floor & Home takes the traditional consumer photo contest one step further by publishing a book – yes, a hard-backed, full-size book – filled with the best entries.
After putting out a call for entries, the company collected the best of the best, and created “The Muddiest Buddies: A Collection of North America’s Dirtiest Pets.”
And while photos of yellow Labrador Retrievers covered in mud have their charm, perhaps the best part of this book is that 15 percent of the proceeds go to the American Humane Association and the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies.
But don’t miss the innocent face of young Bulldog Gunny of Fairhope, Ala., who has clearly made the most of a dripping outdoor faucet. Or Duggy, a mixed breed; he looks like he’s been using his face to dig in beach sand. Or Pago, who has managed to create her own mud hole in the middle of a lawn in Port Townsend, Wash., but looks toward the camera for a perfect Boxer moment.
In “Muddiest Buddies,” you’ll also meet Newfoundland Kodi, Rat Terrier Koko, Airedale Terrier Cayenne, and Jack Russell Terrier Winston.
