Renee Fort McCoy, FL 9/19/2008 8:00:40 PM Good Article! No dog goes hungry in My Town! They are treated better than a Wife.
Sherry costa mesa, CA 9/15/2008 8:55:04 PM I think that our city needs to allow dogs on leashes in more stores. While, in general we are very dog friendly it does not include being able to take you dog into stores.
Ariahna statesville, NC 9/15/2008 4:33:49 PM Wow I had not really considered all this, but know that it have I wish we had some dog parks. We do not even have human parks
art wakefield, RI 8/31/2008 5:33:36 PM dogs are pretty much welcome by about 40% of the population. Unfortunately no dog parks or other exemplory features. Your article quite nice.
Tina Marina, CA 8/31/2008 5:19:42 PM I scored only a 5. We are a small town. We are lucky we have a dog park. Theya re trying to develop more dog parks in this area. No restaurants at all. A lot of dog walkers.
Sambuca & Isabella Martini Ossining, NY 8/25/2008 7:55:01 AM We have a dog park, and mom is on the board!
stacy Bel air, MD 8/20/2008 6:39:28 AM Scored 9 I wish there was more places to go with my dog othere than petsmart and the dog park. But I do see more places opening up.
Kim Topeka, KS 8/17/2008 10:02:21 PM Topeka is a pretty dog friendly small city. Dog park, doggy events several times a year and many vets or clinics plus several pet supply stores. Rate it 11 or above
ELLY Levy, FL 8/16/2008 3:59:37 PM My City, Miami, is very porly oriented when it comes to dogs, they still frown eveni if you wait at the door to get a drink of water and another friends gets it for you. In general Miami has to come a long way to have dog facilities for both human and pet and even for the business man to make a buck. It is very said that I would have to drive 5o miles to the nearst fenced dog park. Miami, sees does I beieve as a pest, instead of looking at the humans that throw them out in the streets and they have to fend for themselves. Somewhoe a lot of them end up at home for a night stay, bathing and curing and they are taken 50 miles to a no kill facility. I will continued to do so as the Lord permits as I am a cancer patient. I have mmany poochies and they live in a/c, have nice bed, daily meals, lots of love and they live their life happy and full of love. I wll continue to help strays as I now they always show up at my door or I will pick them up from the dangerous streets. We should pick up the "unresponsible owners" not the dogs, many do find a good home at the no kill facility up in Broward again 50 miles or so away, Miami leaves a lot to be desired. I wish I could keep them all but If i tell you how many four legged family members I have you'd probably faint, be assured they are in the best condition, in and out and love is never far away from them. Sincerely
Gabby T.R., SC 8/15/2008 10:58:13 AM 9 pts. Our town has alot of people who own dogs. We have alot of events for our dogs, we just don't have any dog parks.
Carolle Frederick, MD 8/14/2008 12:21:48 PM 8 pts. Our town is trying. Without the pushing of our local humane society it could be pretty sad around here. We have a beautiful downtown area with several restaurants that have outdoor seating areas. Dogs abound! Many shops along those streets allow dogs inside (and provide 'clean up kits'), although they really prefer toy breeds to Great Danes.
