Tony's owner should have been arrested. Thank GOD for people like you who rescue these wonderful fur babies. There is one thing I would like to add, I am a disabled senior, 67 yrs old on low income social security, that is my only income. My Romeo is 11.5 yrs old and just diagnosed with Cushings Disease. I do not know how I will be able to give him the proper care that he deserves. Do not know as yet if he has tumors that might have to be removed. If he will need operations, ultrasound or anything expensive like this, how will I be able to care for him? They say that senors and disabled flourish with the company of pets, but I have never seen any articles on people like me who are so low income and when their pet gets a serious disease such as Cushings, what are our options, what can we do. I am sick with the thought that I may have to find a Rescue, will my little Romeo grieve for me and adjust. I know for me, I would be devastated, but I must put my Romeo and his needs first. Surely I am not the only senior that this is happening to.

My mother's dog has been breeding Maltese pups for many many years. She had the grandmother, mother and I have the son from the last litter. Mine is 4 years old now and he thinks he owns my house and let's me live in it! He is protective, loving, cuddly, cute, and a big brat. He just loves attention! I have created a very strong bond with him and love him dearly. His name is Kozzie. I recommend this breed to anyone who lives alone and has no children because they end up being your child with all the work you put into them. They need daily exercise, food, discipline and love.

I loooove the maltese and I'm looking for one right now. I think you described the maltese to the tee. They are very loving and smart. The maltese is very much a lover!and if you want a great little toy dog to love I highly recommend the maltese.
