Pembroke Welsh Corgis need a lot of care: They shed hair unless brushed regularly.

Corgis are everything the article said - smarter than most dogs and some people, stubborn, easy to care for, full of energy, etc. The article did not mention that they are more food obsessed than most dogs and care MUST be taken not to indulge them with too much food and too many treats. They have a tendency to be overweight so watch the food - we measure out each meal. They are good with other pets and ours attempt to herd the cats, without much success as the cats do not co-operate. They also bark a lot! If interested in a corgi, read up on the breed and talk to corgi owners you know or go to the local dog park and talk to the owners there. We got our first corgi 5 years ago as a puppy and liked him so much last year we adopted another adult corgi. Both of ours are male and I would not recommend two males unless one non dominant in personality. Ours get along very well, but the younger male is non dominant. In summary - corgis are great pets!
