Michael Detroit, MI 6/9/2010 9:19:19 AM pin brush or slicker? the pin brush is a maintenance brush. If used frequently, brushing sessions are not as long, because matts have not yet formed and therefore no time need be spent removing them. A pin brush is less likely to break the coat or abrade the skin. On dogs with longer coat, the pin brush will keep the dog cleaner and looking better. The pin brush really should onlt be used to remove mats, and to fluff curly coats.
Hollie Bamford Alexandria, VA 1/28/2010 8:12:23 PM I have had 5 Golden's over the years and yet never had their brushing routine explained so well. Thank you. I also have an Australian Terrier puppy, one year old. Do you have ANY helpful tips on how to strip his coat? I have read the articles form the national club and they have proven helpful but I am always open to any helpful suggestions. Thank you
