Are you feeding the recommended amount for a 35# dog, or for the weight your dog Should be? Maybe you just need to reduce the amount of food.

We have a female dachshund that is obese too. She has been on the Rx food before for months and only lost a couple of pounds and even the vet agrees it should be more. Now she is on the Iams weight control plus green beans/carrots diet (per vet). She gets 2 full walks a day, plus is VERY active indoors-- plays ALL the time. She has been tested for thyroid and it came back normal. Any suggestions, ideas? the weight just WON'T come off!! She did not have a weight issue until we had her spade. Her litter mate brother is a very normal 16 lbs.
