We were given an 8 year old cockapoo after a friend could no longer care for her. After a few classes to help with fearful behavior, she is a happy and sweet-tempered dog with endless love to give. Consider a cockapoo as a family pet, but I would recommend a shelter or a rescue before turning to a breeder.

My husband and i just got a cockapoo she is 6mths and she is amazing gets along great with our other dog who is pure cocker.I just find it hard to get her groomed she gets scared of the noise. we wouldn't go with any other breed now that we experienced the two,but how do i get her used to the grooming?

I have a nine mo. old cockapoo Nico and I agree with all the previous comments. Everybody is asking us (me and my boyfriend) what kind of dog is it and where to get them. We call him our "bunny". He loves to jump around and he is incredibly fast! He loves other dogs and he is the most gentle when it comes to treating people. He makes children and adults smile or laugh out loud on the street when we take him out for walks because of how cute and sweet he behaves. He loves to play with much bigger dogs especially, he jumps over them, under with the speed of lightning:).He is placing his bunny paws on faces of huge dogs and makes everybody's hearts melt...He chases petals of flowers outside like kittens do mice, he is just so cute and sweet and funny! Also, my boyfriend is allergic to dogs but not to Nico..He is a very quick learner as well.My boyfriend wanted a big dog before we've got Nico but now he says there is no better dogs than cockapoos are:)As much as I love all the dogs and had few different breeds in the past, I absolutely agree..Cockapoos need a lot of hugs and kisses though, so if you can't provide that, don't get a cockapoo!!!:)

i have a cockpoo and love her.we got her from the animal shelter when she was 5 and now she is 9 and we found out she has a heart murmur.but she is fun to have we also have a cat and them two play so well together sometimes the cat jumps on her back and its funny to watch them two at the bird gage also.we always get any animal from a shelter cause we know that they need a home.brenda

My fiancee and I got our first cockapoo in January. Snoopy is five months old now and is a blessing! He is the most loving, intelligent and eager to please dog I have ever owned. In fact, we enrolled him in puppy school and after two weeks of training, he had completed all the tasks needed for an entire 9 week program! He did take 5 months to totally potty train but any accidents he had he went on a puppy pad. He does not shed but does require grooming otherwise his hair covers his eyes! He is really a joy and gets along with our 5 small children and our two cats! He has really become a member of our family and I will never own another breed of dog!! Everywhere we go, people ask what kind of dog he is....he is lovable abd A great family dog! I could go on and on about our Snoopy. I highly recommend this crossbreed and like I said, he is a blessing to our family.

My 2 puppies are cockapoos. They are beautiful, smart, loving, intelligent, and they don't shed or bother my husbands allergies. We have a tiny toy 7 1/2 lb girl Buffy Bear, and our BIG one is a 33 lb boy, Sonny Bear. Both of their sizes surprised us as we thought both would range from 9 to 15 lbs. Everywhere we go, people ask us what their breed is and where we got them as everyone wants one! Sonny Bear is a bit of a genius dog as he knows about 200 words and will fetch any toy you name from his toy box. My husband is incredible at training them and they love showing off, whether jumping side by side thr hula hoops or doing side by side synchronized roll overs. They're amazing and I highly recommend a cockapoo!!!
