Well, I guess you don't have to put them through college.

That's weird but interesting! I think that this is great for all of the animals out there. Hopefully people get them from shelters! That's how I got my Otis!

That is wonderful, but those people should adopt from animal shelters instead of pet stores because the animals in the shelters need a home more than the ones in pet stores do. It's nice to know that people are considering bringing home those pets and classifying them as part of their family.

I think that is a good idea. Broke my heart watching the news today. The economy is taking a toll on our shelters. They mentioned one that would have to close down 2 days a week because they couldn't afford to stay open. They will probably have more to follow suit. Seems that will lesson their chances of getting adopted. I hope the they will have there pet (children) spayed and neutered.

I love this idea since it is what I have done. I have 3 little dachshund kids that I adore!! I never wanted children but admire others that choose to do this. It is a lot of work & money. Animals can cost as well though, & I agree that folks need to consider this when taking on ANY pet. It is also a lifetime commitment & you can't just abandon them if it doesn't work out. Please remember this when taking on a pet & give them the love & time they deserve.

It's different! But, I like the idea, as I don't have children either, and do love my dog.

Adopting a dog can be a wonderful thing! We have two and are thankful for them everyday.
