grace denver, PA 10/12/2011 3:56:44 PM This story is so wonderful! These dogs are proof of the fact that any dog can be rehabilitated, even supposably 'vicious' fighting dogs. So many people think that pit bulls in general are mean, and ones that are trained to fight have no chance of ever being pets. But the vick dogs disprove those myths and more. Hopefully this helped to change the minds of former pit bull haters everywhere, and maybe healed their bad reputation a little. I love pit bulls!!!!!
Kim Cincinnati, OH 6/22/2009 8:03:49 AM Inspirational stories like these should wake people up to ban breed specific legislation against this breed!!!!
Michele Freeport, IL 6/10/2009 8:35:08 PM These dogs and the people who worked with them should be an inspiration to us all.
pit waterbury, CT 6/10/2009 6:53:48 AM Some people have dogs pitbulls, but another don't love them. Those are very agresive with the dogs I have seen another people that love these animals and give them a good life. The pillsbull live a long happy life in those homes. Every body ask why some of theses dogs are agresive? I know why they are agressive now, they are learning with the human .If they receive agresive actions , they will be agresive. negyneg@gmail.com
Galadriel Lothlorien, ME 6/9/2009 8:03:25 PM I'm glad that people are becoming more aware of how pitbulls are just as forgiving and loving as other dogs.
madie greensboro, NC 6/9/2009 9:04:14 AM i watched the show "dogtown" where some of them were rehabilitated. Georgia is my favorite, and it broke my heart how he paid someone to pull out her teeth. I don't know how he can live with what he did to those poor dogs & it sickens me that a vet would take money to perform a surgery on a dog like Georgia for fighting.
Judi Minneapolis, MN 6/9/2009 8:41:53 AM I read the story, but already knew my answer, because I volunteer with a rescue group and have met many Pits before. Theis story needs to get out even more. The dogs are not evil because of the breed-- they are victims of the evil people that use them wrongly.
D Indy, IN 6/9/2009 6:38:39 AM I'm so glad that nearly all of the seized dogs were able to be saved from death.
Rosanna Bayamon, PR 5/22/2009 2:27:45 PM Hi I'm from Puerto Rico I just bought your magazine and became a fan. In Puerto Rico we have a law where this awesome breed are illegal. There are many groups who are fighting for pitbulls to become legal dogs. I have 2 beautiful pitbulls rednose which are amzing. And I believe in rehabilitation. I'm so happy these dogs found from MV's house found a home or even a job helping and making other people happy. I just want to say: It's NOT the Breed IT's The OWNER. If we work together on the fight to end ignorance and fear, we can save OUR BREED
