I AGREE W/MELISSA. I JUST WISH THAT YOU COULD GET PET INSURANCE FOR YOUR PET EVEN IF THEY HAVE A PRE-EXISTING CONDITION. IT WOULD REALLY HELP US OUT. ONE OF MY GIRLS HAS EPILEPSY, DEVELOPED IT AT ONLY A LITTLE OVER A YEAR OLD AND SHE'S NOW OVER 5. WHEN SHE WAS A PUP, I NEVER IMAGINED GETTING PET INSURANCE, BUT WISH WE WOULD HAVE NOW. HER EPILEPSY MEDS ALONE RUN ABOUT $75 A MONTH, AND THATS NOT COUNTING HER DIAZAPAM ENEMA WE KEEP ON HAND FOR CLUSTER SEIZURES. IF WE HAVE ANY EMERGENCY INCIDENCES WHERE HER CLUSTER SEIZURES DOESNT STOP AND SHE HAS TO BE ON IV MEDS TO HELP STOP THEM. THAT CAN RUN UP TO $400, NO JOKE. THANKFULLY THAT'S ONLY HAPPENED A FEW TIMES. BUT YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN A SEIZURE IS GONNA HAPPEN. ONE OF MY OTHER GIRLS HAD A SLIPPED DISC 2 YEARS AGO IN HER NECK AND HAD TO HAVE SURGERY WHICH WAS $1700, WITH NO PAYMENT PLAN. SO HAVING NO HUMAN KIDS OUR DOGS ARE OUR BABIES, AND OBVIOUSLY WE WILL DO ANYTHING WE HAVE TO FOR THEM (WHICH ALL 6 OF OUR GIRLIES ARE BEAGLES!)
