To the girl with allergies. Did you say that you wanted a pug but were allergic to dogs? If you are allergic to dogs then a pug probably wouldn't be a good idea as they can have allergies also and make your's worst. My uncle has three pugs and all of them are allergic to grass, pollen and certain kinds of shampoo. A poodle or a poodle cross would probably be your best bet. They are also very smart and good at learning tricks. I have a Labrador Retriever and like the tips for stuff to take on a trip. Good luck to the girl with allergies!

Also consider bringing some grooming supplies (dog shampoo, nail clippers, brush), as well as some enzymatic cleaning solution for dog accidents. (http://www.dogjaunt.com )

Great ideas. Our scotty goes with us everywhere and I usually have everything you suggested, with the exception of the photos. That is an excellent idea. I'll be sure to pass it along.
