Our Maltese (Mom was named "Fancy", Dad was "Little Levi") is named "Aggie" (AKC name: "Fancy's Little Texas Aggie Girl") because we are fans of Texas A&M Univ. The Texas A&M students and alumni are called "Aggies" & the campus at College Station, TX is known as "Aggieland". Our little Aggie has her Texas A&M jersey on for every televised football game and barks whenever HER team makes a touchdown (just kidding).

Our whippet girl danced around the yard as a puppy...we wanted a good, strong name, so we toyed with Ginger for Ginger Rogers...and we found her name. It's been said Ginger Rogers could do everything Fred Astaire did, but backwards and in high heels...hence Ginger is "Yashanti's Backwards And In High Heels At Mistaya." Can't get more elegant than being named for Hollywood Royalty!

I have 2 registered shelties, they both have western swing music names. My 2 year old is named after the male singer Jody Nix (call name Jody), his registered name is one of my favorite songs he sang "Key In The Mailbox". My 1 year old is named after the song Ida Red, and her registered name is "Light In The Parlor", one of the lines in the song.

I'm a star wars fan. My standard poodles name is Argan's Herr Queen Amidala, "Padmé". Now my little toy is Custom's Love Monster Yeti. cause at the moment I couldn't remember the snow beast's that attacked Luke name. Which is Wampa, but instead we just call her Yeti, and she is a monster LOL
