Cheese-Pleaser Dog Treats

Three Dog Bakery's Pooch Munchies pack the pizazz of garlic and cheese.

Ingredients:

 3 cups whole wheat flour

 1 teaspoon garlic salt

 1⁄2 cup soft bacon fat

 1 cup shredded cheese

 1 egg, beaten slightly

 1 cup milk

Baking Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 ºF. Place flour and garlic salt in a large bowl. Stir in bacon fat. Add cheese and egg. Gradually add enough milk to form a dough. Knead dough and roll out 1-inch thick. Use a dog bone-shaped cookie cutter to cut out dough. Place dog bones on a greased cookie sheet and bake about 12 minutes or until they start to brown. Cool and serve.

My 2 dogs (a black Lab & a Malamute) go CRAZY when I pull these delicious cheesy treats out of the oven. Thank you so much for this great way to satisfy my dogs' sweet tooth!

Sounds delicous- I know my dog would love them! I'd probably leave out the bacon fat though.

Let me start off with how much my dog, Rocky, loves these treats! As soon as i pulled them out of the oven he came running into the kitchen. And he was looking at a squirrel and you know how much Beagles love squirrles! But then again beagles love food! I just want to give you so much credit for this recipe! I will continue to bake them for my pup!
