As a kid, there were three people I knew that were able to play the banjo: Steve Martin, my dad, and the animatronic bayou-dweller at the beginning of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland. Turns out, it just is not a popular instrument. That might be because it is hard to sing along to. However, as you’ll see in the video titled "Will the Circle be Unbroken (Key of Beagledog)”, this soulful Beagle had no problem getting his harmonies right.
Posted just two weeks ago, the video has now been viewed more than 16,000 times. Banjo player Allan Anderson introduces his dog, Harley the Blue-Tick Beagledog, who accompanies him as a guest singer when a cold has taken his voice from him. I wonder if Harley will become a permanent stand-in? Or, as another option, maybe these guys are looking for a singer?
