2008 Trainer of the Year - Joel Silverman

Joul silverman was selected as the Trainer of the Year for his more than 25 years of working behind the scenes training animals for movies, television shows and commercials. As a host on the popular television series, Good Dog U on Animal Planet, Silverman has showcased his unique ability to relate to and problem-solve behavoir issues with a variety of dog breeds and owners.

Silverman has tarined an array of animals including killer whales at Sea World, dolphins at Knott's Berry Farm amd Magic Mountain, and birds, dogs and cats at Universal Studios. For the past 10 years, he has been closely involved with, and has been responsible for the coordination and training of the cats and dogs in most of the IAMS national commercials and print ads.
