Are You a Bulldog Person?

The Bulldog is dearly loved for his disposition and his good looks. In addition, he is loved for his intelligence, his devotion to his family and his liveliness. While he does not make a good guard dog, he is watchful, and his looks alone could deter any would-be intruder! Even with all of these positive qualities, you must learn about the breed before rushing out and buying the first puppy you see. 

For more information on the Bulldog, check out other books on the breed and talk to breeders and owners. Bulldog people are happy to give advice about their beloved breed. The Internet can be a wonderful tool as well. Be careful, however, as its hard to tell what websites contain accurate information. Online sources that you can trust are the Bulldog Club of America and the American Kennel Club. These sites can also direct you toward Bulldog clubs in your region.

Having done your homework, meaning that you've attended several dog shows, talked to some breeders and done thorough research about Bulldogs, you have now decided that this may be just the right dog for you and your family. Now you are ready to take the next stepfinding a reputable and responsible breeder from whom to obtain a puppy.
